SLHG´s first publication, written by group member John Sheldon, with foreword by Air Vice Marshall Dusty Saunders, brings together research and information on the Village War Memorials, the local Buckinghamshire regiments, biographies and stories, written in chronological order, of the “Stewkley Lads” who gave their lives for King and Country in WW I.
In 96 pages with many illustrations, it gives a unique insight into one of the greatest periods of social change in our village history.
